Working at height and working with asbestos are two high risk construction activities. That is why at Leafield Projects health and safety is at the forefront of every project we undertake.
Planning for health and safely begins with our initial site survey. The surveyor will assess the best way to carry out the work. Trying to foresee any potential issues before they arise. Along with working closely with designers to ensure we have the appropriate methods before any construction work begins.
When appointed as Principal Contractor under CDM 2015, we produce a comprehensive Construction Phase Plan. This plan highlights health and safety arrangements to take place during the work.
For every job we provide a site specific method statement and risk assessment. This document outlines how we propose to carry out the works in a safe manner. The risk assessment allows us to minimise risks and plan the work safely.
We take great pride from having a highly skilled, well trained workforce. All of our site operatives have undertaken IPAF, PASMA, UKATA Non-licensed asbestos, Working at Heights and Safety Harness training to name a few. All of our site gangs have multiple First Aid at Work cards. All of our site workers carry CSCS cards (skilled).
As part of our commitment to high health and safety standards, we carry out unannounced site inspections. These inspections are scored and feedback to the project team. This ensures our high standards are maintained.
We employ North West Safety Services as our external safety consultant. NWSS carry out a range of services, including external site audits.Site Health & Safety
